Raspberry Merry: A Festive Sans Serif Font for Holiday Branding Projects
Testing Raspberry Merry Across Branding Applications
Logo Design: When applied to a logo draft for the bakery, Raspberry Merry gave the mark a playful yet polished feel. The berry accents added a unique twist that tied into the brand’s handmade, seasonal offerings. It worked best as a secondary typeface under a stronger primary logo word, but it could easily stand alone for a more casual brand.
Packaging Mockups: On a holiday cookie box concept, Raspberry Merry looked great on product labels and gift tags. The flourishes added visual interest without distracting from the main message. However, I noticed that the decorative elements can get lost at very small sizes, so it’s best used on larger packaging or as a headline font.
Business Cards: For a boutique client’s holiday business cards, Raspberry Merry added a festive touch to the event tagline at the bottom of the card. It paired well with a clean sans serif for the main contact info, creating a nice contrast in tone and style.
Social Media Layouts: On Instagram story templates and holiday promo graphics, Raspberry Merry really came to life. Its cheerful look matched the seasonal content perfectly, especially when styled with red and green accents. The font’s character sets allowed for creative text lines that felt custom-designed rather than generic.
Web Design: Using Raspberry Merry in a homepage hero section worked well for a boutique holiday landing page. The font’s webfont version loaded quickly and rendered cleanly across devices. However, I wouldn’t recommend using it for navigation labels or body text—stick to headlines and short phrases for best results.
